Alessandro Ridolfi

Alessandro Ridolfi was born in Vetralla in 1973 and trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze and the Accademia Lorenzo da Viterbo. From his earliest work, he developed a figurative practice marked by essential, gestural expression, gradually evolving toward a language that incorporates recycled and repurposed materials, in which matter becomes a vehicle of visual memory and a meditation on societal change. Alongside his painting, he has deepened his engagement with contemporary artistic languages through the creation of kinetic machines—including Il Colloquio, Radar, and Presenza in Assenza—which have been exhibited in various Italian cities, including Rome, Florence, and Perugia. His experimental impulse has also led him to theater, with the design of a kinetic machine for the performance Una macchina fatale, directed by Massimo de Rossi and presented at the Todi Art Festival, inspired by Franz Kafka's story In the Penal Colony. In addition to his painterly output, he has produced mural decoration interventions and collaborated with European theater and film productions, operating in both national and international contexts. In recent years, his research has increasingly focused on sculpture, where iron and resin engage in a dialogue between structural solidity and human fragility—themes that have also become the subject of his video art works, such as An Instant and Il circuito evadente.

Alessandro Ridolfi nasce a Vetralla nel 1973 e si forma presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze e l’Accademia Lorenzo da Viterbo. Fin dagli esordi sviluppa una ricerca figurativa essenziale e gestuale, evolvendo progressivamente verso un linguaggio che integra materiali riciclati e di recupero, nei quali la materia diventa memoria visiva e riflessione sul cambiamento della società. Parallelamente alla pittura, approfondisce i linguaggi dell’arte contemporanea attraverso la realizzazione di macchine cinetiche come Il Colloquio, Radar e Presenza in Assenza, esposte in diverse città italiane tra cui Roma, Firenze e Perugia. La sua sperimentazione lo conduce anche al teatro, con la progettazione di una macchina cinetica per lo spettacolo Una macchina fatale, diretto da Massimo de Rossi e presentato al Todi Art Festival, ispirato al racconto Nella colonia penale di Franz Kafka. Accanto alla produzione pittorica realizza interventi di decorazione murale, collaborando con produzioni teatrali e cinematografiche europee e operando in contesti nazionali e internazionali. Negli ultimi anni la sua ricerca si concentra sulla scultura, dove ferro e resina dialogano tra solidità strutturale e fragilità umana, diventando anche soggetto delle sue opere di video art come An Instant e Il circuito evadente.

KYLIX nasce dall'incontro tra memoria e contemporaneità. Il titolo richiama la kylix , l'antica coppa greca che diventa metafora: un contenitore capace di accogliere nuove forme, idee e linguaggi. Riccardo Pasquini

Riccardo Pasquini was born in Civitavecchia in 1975. He graduated from the city's Istituto d'Arte and earned his degree in 1999 from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. His multidisciplinary research spans painting, sculpture, installation, stage design, and artistic planning, developing a material and symbolic poetics that intertwines memory, spirituality, and contemporary experimentation. Following his early experiences in Italy, he moved to Spain, where he lived for approximately ten years, exhibiting at the British International Fine Art in Marbella and La Galeria in Málaga, and founding his own Art Center in Castellar de la Frontera, dedicated to contemporary production and research. Carla Paiolo

Carla Paiolo is a visual artist and performer whose practice pursues a path of self-determination, defined through an evasive modus operandi and enacted within persistently suspended environments. The need for isolation translates into performative actions, painting, and predominantly site-specific works, alongside projects that take shape within relational contexts, where connection with the other becomes central. She is the founder of "disambigua artspace," an itinerant and virtual project for which she serves as independent curator, and for which she managed a temporary venue in Viterbo in 2015. Paolo Maccari

Architect and urban historian, Paolo Maccari—known as Makka—lives and works in Rome. Following an extensive career in research and publications devoted to the history of cities and the urban landscape, since 2014 he has developed an artistic practice grounded primarily in drawing and watercolor.
